Brothers Osborne will release their fifth studio album, Watertown, on October 23, 2026, with Cody Johnson and Stephen Wilson Jr. among the featured guests.

Brothers Osborne are heading back to their roots for their next album.
The GRAMMY, ACM, and CMA Award-winning duo will release their fifth studio album, Watertown, on October 23, 2026, via MCA.
Named in reference to John and TJ Osborne’s hometown of Deale, Maryland, Watertown features 11 tracks exploring family, relationships, loss, change, and the brothers’ musical beginnings.
“We’re not just getting back to where we were born and raised, but to the roots of where we started musically,” TJ Osborne said. “A time when music wasn’t dictated by anything other than what our hearts and souls wanted to say.”

Longtime Brothers Osborne collaborator Jay Joyce returns to produce the project.
The album will also mark the duo’s first featured collaborations on a full-length Brothers Osborne album. Cody Johnson joins John and TJ on the opening track, “Born and Raised Hell,” while Stephen Wilson Jr. appears on “Tough Kid.”

Brothers Osborne Return to Their Maryland Roots on ‘Watertown’
Although Brothers Osborne grew up in Deale, Maryland, the album takes its name from Watertown as a reference to the coastal community where John and TJ Osborne were raised.
The small blue-collar town plays an important role in the sound and story of the record, with the brothers returning both personally and musically to where they started.
They introduced the album close to home, surprising fans with a pop-up performance at The Boathouse in Deale. During the show, Brothers Osborne announced Watertown and performed material from the album for the hometown crowd.
The connection can also be heard on the album’s title track, “Watertown,” which was written solely by John Osborne.
Cody Johnson Joins Brothers Osborne for ‘Born and Raised Hell’
Cody Johnson is featured on Watertown’s opening song, “Born and Raised Hell.”
The track was written by John Osborne, Lee Miller, and Kendell Marvel and represents one of two guest collaborations featured on the new album.
The collaboration brings together Brothers Osborne and Johnson, the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year.
Stephen Wilson Jr. Featured on ‘Tough Kid’
Stephen Wilson Jr. joins Brothers Osborne on the ninth track, “Tough Kid.”
John Osborne co-wrote the song with Pete Good and Lee Miller.
Both “Tough Kid” and the Cody Johnson collaboration represent a first for Brothers Osborne: the duo has not previously included featured artist collaborations on one of its full-length studio albums.
What Are Brothers Osborne’s ‘SELLOUT EDITS’?
Brothers Osborne are also experimenting with a different release strategy ahead of Watertown.
Selected songs will initially be released as shorter alternate versions called “SELLOUT EDITS.” The edits are designed for the way listeners increasingly discover and consume music online.
Full-length versions of pre-release songs will be available to members of Brothers Osborne’s free fan club, The Family.
“Our SELLOUT EDITS are a result of understanding where we are in 2026. It’s our way of meeting the people where they are,” John Osborne said. “Our hope is that these edits will drive people to the deeper story.”
TJ Osborne added that the alternate versions reflect how songs naturally change depending on how they are experienced.
“Songs aren’t static – they’re recorded one way, released another, played live yet another,” he said. “All versions are valid, just like all interpretations are valid.”
Brothers Osborne Release ‘Bottle It Up’
Along with the album announcement, Brothers Osborne released the “SELLOUT EDIT” of “Bottle It Up.”
The song was written by Dan Isbell, Josh Kear, and Paul Sikes and appears as the fifth track on Watertown.
“R.I.P.” was previously released ahead of the album and draws from the country-rock sound associated with the brothers’ early music.
‘Watertown’ Follows 10th Anniversary of ‘Pawn Shop’
The announcement comes during an important year for Brothers Osborne.
In January 2026, the duo marked the 10th anniversary of its debut album, Pawn Shop.
Released in 2016, the album introduced songs including “Stay a Little Longer,” “21 Summer,” and “It Ain’t My Fault” and helped establish the sound that would become associated with Brothers Osborne.
A decade later, John and TJ are intentionally revisiting some of those musical roots on Watertown while looking at where their lives have taken them since.

The 11-song album includes “R.I.P.,” “Bottle It Up,” a collaboration with Cody Johnson called “Born and Raised Hell,” and the Stephen Wilson Jr. collaboration “Tough Kid.”
