An all-star lineup featuring Emmylou Harris, Elvis Costello, The Black Crowes and Margo Price will honor country-rock pioneer Gram Parsons with a special tribute concert, A Song for Gram, on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at the legendary Troubadour in West Hollywood, California.

Presented by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the concert will take place just three days before Parsons is posthumously inducted during the November 14 ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

The evening will bring together artists from country, rock, Americana and folk to celebrate the musician whose groundbreaking combination of traditional country and rock helped shape generations of performers.

Tickets for A Song for Gram go on sale Thursday, October 22, at 10 a.m. Pacific (1 p.m. Eastern) through the Troubadour's official website.

Among the performers, Emmylou Harris shares a particularly important connection to Parsons. The two formed a musical partnership in the early 1970s, recording and performing together before his death in 1973.

Harris appeared on both of Parsons' solo albums, GP and Grievous Angel, contributing to recordings that helped establish the country-rock sound he had spent years developing. Their duets, including "Love Hurts" and "We'll Sweep Out the Ashes in the Morning," remain important recordings in both artists' catalogs.

Elvis Costello is another longtime admirer of Parsons' music. He contributed to the 1999 tribute album Return of the Grievous Angel: A Tribute to Gram Parsons, which featured artists interpreting songs from throughout Parsons' career.

Gram Parsons' 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction

Parsons is among the artists selected for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2026, receiving recognition for his influence on the development of rock and American roots music.

His induction comes during what would have been his 80th birthday year. Born November 5, 1946, Parsons died on September 19, 1973, at just 26 years old.

Although his recording career was relatively brief, his influence on country and rock music extended far beyond his lifetime.

Parsons championed a style he called "Cosmic American Music," blending traditional country, rock, gospel, folk and soul at a time when the musical boundaries between those genres were considerably more rigid.

His career included work with the International Submarine Band before joining The Byrds, where he played a significant role in the group's move toward country music on its influential 1968 album Sweetheart of the Rodeo.

He later co-founded the Flying Burrito Brothers with Chris Hillman. The band's 1969 album The Gilded Palace of Sin became an important recording in the development of country rock.

Parsons continued exploring that sound through his solo albums, GP in 1973 and Grievous Angel, released after his death in 1974.

His influence can be heard in the music of artists ranging from the Eagles and Emmylou Harris to later generations of alternative country and Americana performers. His work also helped establish a musical foundation that continues to connect country and rock artists today.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction recognizes a musician whose contribution to American music has grown increasingly significant in the decades since his death.
