After becoming the first country artist to play The Sphere, Kenny Chesney announced that he’s returning to Las Vegas in 2026. The country star wrapped up his 15-night residency on June 21, 2025, a jaunt that embraced hits, deep cuts, and a revolving door of special guests. To cap the celebratory night, Kenny let the crowd in on his future performance plans.

“I got a little carried away,” Kenny revealed after the show, “but after all the guests, all the songs we hadn’t planned on, all the people who came from all over, I just didn’t want to keep it a secret. I knew we were coming back, and if No Shoes Nation had half as much fun as we did, I wanted them to know we’d see them right here next summer. What could be better?”

He continues, “For all the intensity of the production, these shows have been unbelievably fluid, capable of change-ups and crazy requests. Yes, it really is another dimension when it comes to how you experience the music, but it’s ultimately the songs that stand out.”

Special Guests at Kenny Chesney’s Residency

Along with the ever-changing setlist, celebrity appearances elevated the buzz of Kenny’s much-talked about residency.

  • Kelsea Ballerini joined Kenny for opening night in Las Vegas, performing “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy,” their award-winning duet “Half of My Hometown,” and “You and Tequila.”

  • Grace Potter would show up several times throughout the residency and performed “You and Tequila” and a rendition of Rod Stewart’s “Hot Legs” and “Burning Love” from Elvis.

  • After touring with Kenny in 2024, reigning CMA New Artist of the Year Megan Moroney surprised the crowd with “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy,” her single “Am I Okay,” and “You Had To Be There,” her new duet with Kenny.

  • Old Dominion came by to perform a song that they wrote, and Kenny took to number one - the 2015 hit “Save It For A Rainy Day.” They also indulged the crowd in “I Was On A Boat That Day.”

  • Songwriter Kat Higgins provided an intimate moment when she performed an acoustic version of “Knowing You.”

  • Uncle Kracker brought the energy with the fan-favorite “When The Sun Goes Down,” “Follow Me,” and “Drift Away.”

  • Fans got a mix of decade-spanning hits when David Lee Murphy took the stage with “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright,” “Dust On The Bottle,” and “Party Crowd.”

  • Superstars like Reba McEntire and Lainey Wilson were also spotted enjoying the show.

During his final show of his 2025 residency, Kenny brought his frequent collaborator, Mac McAnally onstage. The pair sang their number one hit “Down The Road,” “Two Dozen Roses” (a song Mac wrote that Shenandoah took to the top in the ‘80s), and a homage to their pal Jimmy Buffett with “Come Monday.”

“He is such a soul/heart singer, and all the warmth of what he does only grew greater on that stage,” Kenny says of Mac McAnally. “Whether it was mostly the two of us and our guitars or something like ‘Two Dozen Roses,’ the audience got to experience the root of what makes him so great. That voice of his, which feels like an old friend, took on an even more comfortable presence. It was amazing.”

According to Kenny’s reps, details for his 2026 shows won’t be announced for several weeks. The superstar says, “When we said we were taking No Shoes Nation into another dimension, no one truly knew what that meant. Now that we do, we can’t wait to come back and do it all over again.”

What’s next for Kenny Chesney

This fall, Kenny Chesney will become a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. He will be inducted into the Modern Era category, which recognizes artists that achieved prominence at least twenty years ago. June Carter Cash is this year’s Veteran elective, and producer Tony Brown will be inducted into the Non-Performer category. A private ceremony will take place at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville.

He is also set to release his first book HEARTLIFEMUSIC on November 4, 2025.

Kenny says, “I always said I’d never write a book, and now here we are. And I have to admit: I’m really glad I did it. I remembered moments, connected dots and laughed a lot about some of the places I’ve been. When you’re so busy going forward, you don’t always realize. Being in the revision and copy-editing part of the process, I am so grateful and fired up for the journey.”
