Little Big Town will release their 12th studio album, It’s A Dying Art, on August 28, 2026, via MCA.
The project was co-produced by two-time Grammy winner Gena Johnson, known for her work with Jason Isbell, Dolly Parton and Brandi Carlile, alongside Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild.
The album includes collaborations with Ashley Monroe, Jason Isbell and Kelsea Ballerini, while its songs place an emphasis on intimate storytelling, emotional performances and human-made music.

Little Big Town will release It’s A Dying Art on August 28 via MCA.
The album is available for pre-order and pre-save in several physical and digital formats, including CD, digital download and multiple colored-vinyl editions.
A limited signed Champagne-colored vinyl is also available exclusively through Little Big Town’s official store while supplies last. Other available editions include turquoise and sangria vinyl, along with signed CD and vinyl options.
The CD and digital editions contain 13 tracks, beginning with a short “Intro.” The vinyl editions contain 12 tracks and begin with “Sucker For A Sad Song.”

It’s A Dying Art finds Little Big Town focusing on music shaped by human experiences, imperfections and the personal connection between musicians.
The album reflects more than 25 years of chemistry and trust between Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook.
Co-produced by Gena Johnson and Fairchild, the record blends intimate storytelling and emotional balladry with the group’s signature vocal harmonies.
Songs highlighted ahead of the album’s release include “The Door” featuring Jason Isbell, “Closing Time” with Kelsea Ballerini, “It’s Coming Around” and “The Idea.”

Little Big Town has shared “Sucker For A Sad Song,” a collaboration with Ashley Monroe and the latest song released from It’s A Dying Art.
Karen Fairchild, Ashley Monroe and Shelby Lynne wrote the track, which combines clever wordplay with a relaxed, understated swagger.
While the CD and digital editions begin with a short introductory track, “Sucker For A Sad Song” serves as the album’s first full song. It is also the opening track on the vinyl editions.
An official music video directed by Becky Fluke was released with the song.
What Songs Has Little Big Town Released From the Album?
“Sucker For A Sad Song” follows the previously released “Hey There Sunshine” and “Over and Over.”
Little Big Town debuted “Hey There Sunshine” during the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards. The hopeful song offered the first preview of the upcoming album.
“Over and Over” was written by Karen Fairchild, Ashley Ray, Jonnie Simpson and Madi Yanofsky. Little Big Town previously debuted the song during their performance at Stagecoach.
Together, the three songs provide an early look at the album’s combination of emotional storytelling, lived experiences and layered vocal arrangements.

Little Big Town’s Upcoming Performances and Tour
Little Big Town is scheduled to perform live on the TODAY Plaza on September 1 as part of TODAY’s Citi Concert Series.
The group will then support the album with the For The Art Of It Tour. The U.S. and Canadian tour begins September 24 in St. Petersburg, Florida, with additional stops scheduled in Atlanta, Boston, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Toronto and other cities.
