Michael Peterson Brings Two Country Albums to Streaming for the First Time
The singer behind “From Here to Eternity” is making more of his catalog available digitally while working on new music.

’90s country singer Michael Peterson, best known for hits including “From Here to Eternity,” “Drink, Swear, Steal & Lie,” and “Too Good to Be True,” is bringing two more of his albums to digital audiences.
Peterson signed a distribution deal with StarVista Music that includes Down On The Farm and We Are Veterans. The two projects, which were previously available on CD, are now available across major streaming platforms.
The releases give longtime fans easier access to another part of Peterson’s catalog while also introducing the music to listeners discovering the country artists who found success during the 1990s.
Who Is Michael Peterson?
Michael Peterson broke through as a country artist in the late 1990s after signing with Warner/Reprise Nashville. His self-titled country debut produced five consecutive Billboard Top 20 singles, including the No. 1 hit “From Here to Eternity.”
His career has grown well beyond those early country radio hits. Peterson’s official career history lists 25 studio or live albums, more than 1.25 million albums sold as a solo artist, and millions of radio airplays and streams worldwide.
Peterson was also among the artists who performed at An All-Star Salute to ’90s Country in Huntsville, Alabama, in February 2026, where he performed “Drink, Swear, Steal and Lie.”
Michael Peterson on Bringing His Music to Streaming
Peterson says the way fans discover and listen to music today is dramatically different from when he was first releasing country records in the 1990s.
“This new digital age of the music business is fascinating,” says Michael Peterson. “When I was releasing music in the 90s, I remember sitting in a room with the label executives talking about what record stores we had to visit to sign CDs to create the buzz on a new album. Now, it’s all virtual and digital. The technology is amazing, and I really like how quickly the fans can hear and learn about new music.”
The streaming releases arrive as ’90s country continues to attract both longtime fans and listeners discovering the music decades later. Making albums that were previously more difficult to find available digitally gives Peterson’s catalog another opportunity to reach that audience.
Peterson is also working on new music. His official website lists June through September 2026 as a period of new album recording sessions.
