What to Expect From The Chicks’ 2026 Tour

The 2026 tour is built around the 20th anniversary of Taking the Long Way, which was originally released in May 2006.

Rather than simply including several songs from the album in the setlist, The Chicks will perform the complete album in order as part of each anniversary show. After performing Taking the Long Way, the trio will close the concert with additional fan favorites from across their career.

The album includes:

• “The Long Way Around”

• “Easy Silence”

• “Not Ready to Make Nice”

• “Everybody Knows”

• “Bitter End”

• “Lullaby”

• “Lubbock or Leave It”

• “Silent House”

• “Favorite Year”

• “Voice Inside My Head”

• “I Like It”

• “Baby Hold On”

• “So Hard”

• “I Hope”

The 14-song album will therefore account for a substantial portion of The Chicks’ 2026 concert setlist.

Will The Chicks Perform Taking the Long Way in Full?

Yes. The Chicks will perform Taking the Long Way in its entirety during their 2026 anniversary tour.

It will mark the first time the trio has performed the complete album during a tour. After finishing the album, The Chicks will perform additional fan-favorite songs from their catalog.

The anniversary is also being marked with an expanded Taking the Long Way: 20th Anniversary Edition, scheduled for release October 2, 2026. The new edition includes five bonus tracks, including previously unreleased demos and the rarities “Thin Line” and “Live Wire.”

The reissue arrives just two days after The Chicks open their anniversary tour in Detroit.
