The Chicks Tour 2026: Taking the Long Way Anniversary Dates

The Chicks are taking fans back to one of the most defining eras of their career.

The trio’s Taking the Long Way 20th Anniversary Tour has expanded to 20 dates, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 2006 album Taking the Long Way. The tour is billed with the phrase “Still Not Ready to Make Nice,” a nod to the album’s Grammy-winning anthem “Not Ready to Make Nice.”

The Chicks have added three shows to the tour, with new stops in Philadelphia and Boston, along with a third night at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. The expanded run now begins Sept. 30 in Detroit and concludes Nov. 3 in Hollywood.

Throughout the run, The Chicks will perform Taking the Long Way in its entirety for the first time before closing each night with fan-favorite hits from their catalog. The album, originally released in 2006, topped the Billboard 200 and earned five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

The tour expansion comes as The Chicks prepare to release Taking the Long Way: 20th Anniversary Edition on Oct. 2. The expanded release will be available digitally and as a three-LP set featuring five bonus tracks, including three previously unreleased demos, while “Thin Line” and “Live Wire” will be available to stream for the first time.
