Charlie Worsham will officially become a member of the Grand Ole Opry on December 1, 2026, during a special performance at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.
The induction ceremony will bring together several of Worsham's longtime friends and musical collaborators, including Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson, Dierks Bentley, Vince Gill, Marty Stuart, and Old Crow Medicine Show.
The announcement follows Worsham's August 7 invitation, when Vince Gill surprised him onstage at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, exactly 20 years after Worsham moved to Music City.

The ceremony will take place at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee.
Worsham's induction will celebrate a career that has included work as a solo recording artist, songwriter, session musician, and touring guitarist for some of country music's biggest names.
The December 1 performance is part of the Grand Ole Opry's OPRY 100 programming.

How Did Charlie Worsham Receive His Grand Ole Opry Invitation?
Charlie Worsham received his invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry on August 7, 2026, during the fifth night of Vince Gill's six-show, sold-out residency at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.
After Worsham performed “Wrap My Porch Around” from his new album, Once Upon a Second Time Around, Gill revealed that he had been keeping a secret.
Gill explained that the Opry had asked him to extend the membership invitation to Worsham, telling the audience that his longtime friend deserved the recognition.
An emotional Worsham reflected on Gill's influence throughout his career, describing the Country Music Hall of Fame member as his “North Star.”
Worsham called the invitation “the ultimate dream” and expressed his determination to earn the honor.
The surprise came exactly 20 years after Worsham moved to Nashville and on the same day he released his new album.
When Did Charlie Worsham Make His Grand Ole Opry Debut?
Charlie Worsham's history with the Grand Ole Opry began nearly three decades before his membership invitation.
The Grenada, Mississippi, native made his Grand Ole Opry debut in 1997 at just 12 years old, having already earned recognition as a Junior National Banjo Champion.
In 1999, the Mississippi Senate commended the young musician for his accomplishments.
After high school, Worsham attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he continued developing his songwriting and instrumental skills.
He later moved to Nashville and spent several years with the band KingBilly before pursuing a solo career.
Over the years, Worsham has opened for artists including Brad Paisley, Old Crow Medicine Show, Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, and Kenny Rogers.
He has also become a sought-after session musician, contributing to recordings by artists including Eric Church, Luke Combs, and Chris Shiflett.
Along with his recording career, Worsham has worked as lead guitarist in Dierks Bentley's touring band and currently performs with Vince Gill.
His musicianship has earned him numerous industry honors, including ACM Acoustic Guitar Player of the Year, CMA Musician of the Year, and CMA Touring Musician of the Year.
