Craig Morgan Honors Toby Keith With American Soldier
One of the album's featured recordings is Morgan's cover of "American Soldier," originally released by Toby Keith in 2003.
Keith, who died in February 2024, was a longtime friend of Morgan. The two country artists shared a commitment to supporting American service members and veterans.
Morgan received the blessing of Keith's family to record his own version of the song for My Country.
The recording is especially meaningful given Morgan's military background. He served 17 years in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve before reenlisting in the Army Reserve in 2023.
Which Artists Are Featured on My Country?
Two country music artists join Craig Morgan on the album:

Lainey Wilson teams up with Morgan for a recording of "International Harvester," another collaboration originally included on Enlisted.
Both recordings bring familiar songs from Morgan's catalog to the My Country tracklist.

Ahead of the album's release, Morgan introduced "I'm Country Music," a song celebrating the connection between country music and its listeners.
Written by Phil O'Donnell, Teddy Robb, and Josh London, the song explores the role country music plays in everyday life, from personal struggles to celebrations.
