Celebrating John Hiatt's Musical Legacy
With a career spanning more than five decades, John Hiatt has built a reputation as one of American music's most respected songwriters.
Since releasing his debut album, Hangin' Around the Observatory, in 1974, Hiatt has released 26 solo albums and collaborated with some of music's most celebrated performers.
His extensive catalog includes more than 400 songs recorded by other artists, including Bonnie Raitt, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Bob Dylan, and Iggy Pop.
Among his best-known compositions is "Riding With The King," which became the title track of the 2000 collaborative album by Eric Clapton and B.B. King.
Hiatt's musical connections will also be represented onstage. Jerry Douglas collaborated with him on his 2021 album Leftover Feelings, recorded at Nashville's historic RCA Studio B, while Nick Lowe was part of the supergroup Little Village alongside Hiatt, Ry Cooder, and Jim Keltner.
