Lauren Alaina has spent much of her life in the public eye.

First introduced to audiences as a small-town Georgia teenager on American Idol, she has grown into one of country music’s most recognizable voices: a Grand Ole Opry member, a chart-topping artist, a wife, a mother, and a performer whose story has unfolded one defining chapter at a time. Now, Lauren is bringing those chapters together with Stages, her long-awaited new album due August 28.

The project marks one of the most personal releases of her career, tracing the moments that shaped her from a young dreamer chasing Nashville to the woman and artist she is today.

“I'm fifteen years into a ten-year town and 31 years into a lifelong dream,” shares Lauren. “Stages represents every version of me along the way: the dreaming, the breaking, and, ultimately, the becoming. There's something on this album for everyone, no matter what stage of life they're in. Stages is letting everyone see behind the curtain of the girl in the spotlight. It's a reflection of the moments that shaped me and the dream that carried me through. It's always been the same dream, different stages.”

The collaboration also brings Lauren and Kane back together nearly a decade after their hit duet “What Ifs.” Lauren called it exciting to reunite with her childhood friend for a song that now reflects the lives they have built with their spouses and children.
