Ricky Skaggs’ new song “Say A Prayer” marks the Country Music Hall of Fame member’s first new music release in more than a decade.

Released June 26 through Skaggs Family Records and distributed by Virgin Music Group, “Say A Prayer” is available now on digital and streaming platforms.

“Say A Prayer” brings together country, bluegrass, and rock influences with instrumentation that includes sitar, fiddle, mandolin, and banjo. The song centers on faith, reflection, and unity during difficult times.

“The song addresses a world carrying a lot of grief right now, serving as a universal call for everyone to stop and lean into faith,” Skaggs said.

“Say A Prayer” was written by Gordon Kennedy and Ben Cooper.

The song gives Skaggs a chance to combine the country and bluegrass sounds that have long been part of his career with a heavier rock influence.
