Romp Music Fest gets underway Wednesday, June 24, and goes until Saturday, June 27, 2026. Now, in its twenty-third year, the event draws fans from all over the country for several days of music in the Bluegrass state.

Artist-Led Workshops

Join your favorite bluegrass and Americana musicians for intimate workshops that dive deep into their craft. From instrument techniques to tour stories, these sessions offer fans a rare behind-the-scenes look into the lives and skills of the artists on stage.

Songwriting Sessions

Whether you’re an aspiring songwriter or just curious about the creative process, these sessions will guide you through the structure, emotion, and storytelling that define bluegrass songwriting. Bring your notebook and your ideas!

Clogging & Flat-Foot Dancing Lessons

Learn the foot-stomping traditions of Appalachian dance! These high-energy sessions teach the basics of clogging and flat-foot dancing. No experience necessary, just a good sense of rhythm and fun.

Yoga

Start your festival days with a calming yoga flow set against the peaceful Kentucky backdrop. Designed for all levels, these sessions help you relax, stretch, and recharge before a full day of music.

Bluegrass Jamming 101

Ever wanted to jump into a jam session but didn’t know how? This beginner-friendly workshop introduces you to the basics of bluegrass jamming, chord progressions, and jam etiquette, so you can confidently join in the fun.
