NBC’s The Voice is back for its milestone 30th season with two returning coaches, two newcomers, format changes, and the return of an extended run of Live Shows.

Season 30 premiered September 21, 2026, with Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine returning to the red chairs. Queen Latifah and country singer Riley Green are making their debuts as coaches, while Carson Daly is back as host.

The new season also introduces changes to the Blind Auditions, a new Cut Week, new ways for viewers to vote, and six weeks of Live Shows.

When Is The Voice on in 2026?

The Voice Season 30 airs Monday nights on NBC.

The season began with a special three-night premiere event September 21–23. Following premiere week, the competition returns to its regular Monday night schedule.

NBC’s 2026–27 fall schedule places The Voice from 8–10 p.m. ET on Mondays during September and October. Beginning in November, the show moves to 9 p.m. ET on Mondays.

Riley Green

Green is getting some help from fellow country singer Carly Pearce, who serves as his advisor during the Battle Rounds. His team has already performed country favorites, including Miranda Lambert's "Mama's Broken Heart," giving the first-time coach some difficult decisions as he narrows down his contestants.

Who Hosts The Voice?

Carson Daly returns as host of The Voice for Season 30. Daly has hosted the competition since its first season premiered on NBC in 2011.

How to Watch The Voice

New episodes of The Voice air on NBC and are available to stream on Peacock the following day.

There is also a change coming once the competition reaches the Live Shows. For the first time, The Voice Live Shows will be simulcast on NBC and Peacock in all U.S. time zones.

That means viewers will be able to watch the live portion of Season 30 on either NBC or Peacock.

Who Are The Voice Season 30 Battle Round Advisors?

The Battle Rounds are underway on The Voice Season 30, with four celebrity advisors helping the coaches prepare their teams for the next stage of the competition.

Country singer Carly Pearce joins Riley Green as his Battle Round advisor. Kelly Clarkson is working with actress and singer Ariana DeBose, Adam Levine has enlisted singer-songwriter Alex Warren, and Queen Latifah is joined by legendary performer Patti LaBelle.

During the Battle Rounds, contestants from the same team perform together before their coach decides who advances. Each coach also has one Steal available to bring an eliminated artist from another team onto their own team.

The Battle Rounds officially premiered October 12, 2026, and continue October 13 on NBC.

What’s New on The Voice Season 30?

Season 30 introduces several changes to the competition, including a new feature during the Blind Auditions, a major elimination round, more Live Shows, and new voting options.

The First In Button

The Blind Auditions introduce a new First In Button.

When multiple coaches turn their chairs for the same artist, the first coach to turn has the opportunity to use the First In Button and immediately claim that singer for their team.

Each coach can use the First In Button only once.

Cut Week

Season 30 also introduces Cut Week, which NBC describes as the biggest elimination in the show’s history.

During Cut Week, each coach sends two artists directly to the Live Shows. Five additional members of each team then compete for one remaining spot.

Once the Top 12 is determined, viewers will vote one additional artist into the competition, creating the Season 30 Top 13.

Are Live Shows Returning to The Voice?

Yes. Season 30 features six weeks of Live Shows.

The live portion of the competition will include performances from the remaining artists, special guests, viewer voting, and themed episodes.

How Does The Voice Work?

The Voice begins with the Blind Auditions, where coaches listen to artists without seeing them perform. A coach who wants an artist on their team presses a button to turn their chair. If multiple coaches turn, the singer chooses which team to join.

Season 30 has now moved into the Battle Rounds, where artists from the same team perform together before their coach decides who advances. Each coach also has one Steal available to bring an eliminated contestant from another team onto their own team.

Following the Battles, the competition moves into Cut Week, a new elimination round that determines which artists advance to the Live Shows. The remaining contestants then compete for viewer votes during six weeks of live performances.

How Do You Vote on The Voice?

Viewer voting becomes an important part of the competition during the Live Shows.

For Season 30, NBC is introducing new voting options. Viewers will be able to vote for their favorite artists through SMS text messaging or TikTok.

Results will also be announced the same night during the Live Shows.

What Does the Winner of The Voice Season 30 Get?

The winner of The Voice Season 30 will receive an opportunity that goes beyond winning the competition.
