Country music fans will have a chance to see Clint Black and Midland on the same bill this fall.

The country legend and the Grammy-nominated trio are teaming up for an eight-show run in October 2026, with dates scheduled across North Carolina, Indiana, Missouri, Kentucky, Alabama and Virginia.

The tour pairs one of the defining voices of late ’80s and ’90s country with a band that has helped bring retro-leaning country sounds to a new generation of fans. Black’s catalog includes hits like “Killin’ Time,” “A Better Man” and “Like the Rain,” while Midland has built its own following with songs including “Drinkin’ Problem,” “Burn Out” and “Sunrise Tells the Story.”

The tour also follows a new musical connection between the two acts. Clint Black is featured on Midland’s song “Up In Texas,” which appears on the trio’s album Stages. The album was released June 12 through Blue Highway Records.

A Look at Clint Black’s Career

Clint Black became one of country music’s biggest breakthrough artists as part of the famed Class of 1989. His debut album, Killin’ Time, produced a run of major hits and helped establish him as one of the era’s strongest singer-songwriters.

Black went on to release a string of platinum and gold albums throughout the 1990s, building a catalog that includes more than three dozen chart hits. He wrote or co-wrote many of his biggest songs, including “A Better Man,” “Killin’ Time” and “When My Ship Comes In.”

In recent years, Black has continued to celebrate his career in several ways. He released his memoir, Killin’ Time: My Life and Music, and is also being honored by the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum with the career-spanning exhibition Clint Black: The Hard Way On Purpose.

Midland’s New Album Stages

Midland’s latest album, Stages, includes “Up In Texas” featuring Clint Black. The collaboration brings Black into the trio’s world of Texas-rooted, retro-country sounds, tying the new tour to the music they are releasing now.

Known for their harmonies, throwback production style and songs like “Drinkin’ Problem” and “Burn Out,” Midland has carved out a lane that connects traditional country influences with a modern audience.

The eight-show run gives fans a rare chance to hear Clint Black and Midland’s catalogs during a can’t miss concert.
